Taiki Inomata is an ordinary badminton player at Eimei Academy, a school famous for its elite sports programs but nothing about his life feels elite, especially compared to Chinatsu Kano, the dazzling basketball star he secretly admires every morning in the gym. She's popular, talented, and a year his senior; he's just the boy who always arrives second. But fate has other plans when Chinatsu ends up living under his roof, the distance between them collapses overnight. Now, pushed by both admiration and a quiet, burning ambition, Taiki throws himself into chasing the Nationals, hoping that if he can't close the gap in their worlds, he can at least close it on the court.
